Device Info Apps by Yalintech

Last updated:

1. Overview

Yalintech ("we", "us", or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our device info apps collect, use, and protect your information.

Key principle: Our apps are designed to work primarily on your device. We minimize data collection and do not sell your personal information.

2. Data We Collect

Our device info apps may access the following types of data:

  • Device specifications (model, OS version, screen) — used on your device for the feature; basic device details are also included in analytics and crash reports (see section 5)
  • Battery status and health — used on your device for the feature; basic device details are also included in analytics and crash reports (see section 5)
  • CPU and RAM usage — processed locally on your device
  • Storage and disk space — processed locally on your device
  • Sensor readings (accelerometer, gyroscope) — processed locally on your device
  • WiFi network information (Easy Settings) — processed locally on your device
  • SIM card details (where applicable) — processed locally on your device
  • Installed apps list (where applicable) — processed locally on your device

Sent to the services in section 5: Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, Google AdMob and any ad mediation partners receive a pseudonymous installation ID, your device's advertising ID (where you allow it), your IP address, and basic device details such as device model, OS version and app version.

What the app itself doesn't collect: The app does not ask for or collect your name, email address or precise location, and does not require an account.

3. How We Use Your Data

Data accessed by our apps is used for:

  • To perform the specific function you requested (scanning, reading, measuring, etc.)
  • To save your preferences and history locally on your device
  • To understand how the app is used and to fix crashes, through pseudonymous analytics and crash reports (see section 5)
  • To show ads in free versions, which may be personalised where you allow it (see section 5)

We do not: Sell your data, or use it for purposes beyond the app's functionality, analytics and the advertising described in section 5.

If you are in the EEA or the UK, we rely on:

  • Consent — for personalised ads, collected through Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP). You can withdraw it at any time in the app's Settings under Privacy options.
  • Legitimate interests — for analytics and crash reports, which we use to understand how the app is used and to fix problems.
  • Contract — for in-app purchases and subscriptions, to give you what you bought.

The data controller is Yalintech, support@yalintech.com.

4. App Permissions

These apps may request the following permissions:

  • Device Info
  • Battery
  • CPU/RAM
  • Storage
  • Sensors
  • WiFi State (Easy Settings)
  • Camera — used only to switch the flashlight LED on and off (Flashlight). No photos or video are taken.
  • Location — used only for the Wi-Fi information screen, in apps that have one.
  • Sensors — the magnetometer, for the compass heading (Compass).

Each permission is used only for the feature you are using on screen. What it reads is processed on your device and is not uploaded to us.

Permissions are requested only when needed for core functionality. You can revoke permissions at any time in your device settings, though this may limit app functionality.

5. Third-Party Services

Our apps use the following third-party services:

  • Firebase Analytics — Records how the app is used (for example screens viewed and features used, app version, device model and OS version). These events are linked to a pseudonymous, persistent installation/user ID — a random identifier generated by the app, not your name or email. The data is pseudonymous, not anonymous. Firebase Privacy
  • Firebase Crashlytics — Crash reporting to improve app stability. Collects crash logs and stack traces, device model, OS version and app version.
  • Google AdMob — Free versions of our apps show ads served by Google AdMob. On Android the apps declare the advertising ID permission (AD_ID) and the Android ad services permissions (ACCESS_ADSERVICES_*), so AdMob may use your device's advertising ID and ad services, and ads can be personalised. On iOS, the advertising identifier (IDFA) is used only if you allow tracking when Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt asks; you can change this later in iOS Settings. Google Privacy Policy
  • Ad consent (Google User Messaging Platform) — In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, the app asks for your consent to ads and related data use through Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) before personalised ads are shown. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time from the app's Settings, under Privacy options.
  • Ad mediation — Some apps may use ad mediation partners, which are then listed in that app's own privacy/policy page.
  • Google Play Billing / Apple App Store — In-app purchases and subscriptions are handled by Google Play or the App Store. The app receives only the purchase status; we never see your payment details. Pro status may be verified with our server at yalintech.com.

Your own data stays on your device: There is no account to create. What you create or measure in the app stays on your device unless you choose to export or share it.

Premium/paid versions of our apps typically have reduced or no advertising.

6. Data Security

We implement appropriate security measures to protect your information:

  • Data is stored locally on your device using standard OS security mechanisms
  • Nothing you create in the app is uploaded. Analytics, crash and ad data are sent to Google and to ad partners, as described in section 5
  • Any network communications use encrypted connections (HTTPS)

Data retention

  • Google Analytics for Firebase — event-level data is kept for 2 months and user-level data for up to 14 months from the last activity, then deleted automatically.
  • Firebase Crashlytics — crash reports are kept for about 90 days.
  • Google AdMob — ad data is kept according to Google's policies: How Google retains data.
  • On your device — data you create stays until you delete it or uninstall the app.

7. Children's Privacy

Our apps are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child under 13 has used one of our apps and want the related data deleted, email support@yalintech.com with the app name, and we will handle the request and reply by email.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the following rights:

  • Access — Request information about data we hold about you
  • Deletion — Data you create in the app is stored only on your device. To ask us to delete the analytics and crash data linked to your installation, email support@yalintech.com with the app name. On Android you can also reset or delete your advertising ID in your device's Settings (under Google > Ads, or Privacy > Ads, depending on your Android version), which unlinks future ads from past ad data. Uninstalling the app deletes its data from your device and stops all collection.
  • Opt-out — Disable personalized advertising in your device settings, or change your ad consent from the app's Settings under Privacy options
  • Portability — Export your data where the app provides export functionality

To exercise these rights, contact us at the email below.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

10. Contact Us

If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or our data practices, or want to exercise any of the rights above, email us at support@yalintech.com.
